 Backyard Sugarin': A Complete How-To Guide, Third Edition 

Have you ever tried this? This is our first year attempting to make maple syrup. We wanted to for the last two year but didn't have our timing right. The temperature is just to the point where it thaws during the day and freezes at night. That is when the sap starts to flow.

I am going to keep track of all the we spend to see how much this might save us this year. Next year we won't have any upfront costs...hopefully.
